5S is a workplace organization method that uses a list of five Japanese words: seiri, seiton, seiso, seiketsu, and shitsuke. It’s a globally recognized system for workplace improvement. The course is exclusively designed by QHI to make the candidate become an expert of this initiative. The course covers all important aspects of 5S to help – from theory and practical example from the industry.

The 5S Expert course takes the foundation elements learned in Lean awareness program a step further by developing candidate’s capability in both the application of 5S concept and integrating this initiative to the overall program of lean management.

QHI certification for Lean Manufacturing Professional assesses the candidate in designing, implementing, and maintaining lean principles for lean manufacturing. The certification tests the candidates on various areas like waste elimination, 5S, Using Kaizen, SMED, Kanban Card System, One-piece flow production system, Visual management, TPM, and preparing roadmaps for implementing lean manufacturing.

It is recommended that all students have the following prior knowledge:

1. Basic understanding of the concept of product and process
2. Basic understanding of the concept of quality management
3. At least 1 year of industry experience

Course Objectives

To make the learner understand all aspects of 4M change management and equip them to implement/drive the system at the organization level. Change management is an important system for any temporary and permanent changes and any negligence on implementation can lead to product failure.

Prerequisites

Minimum 1 year of industry experience.

• HODs from Production, Quality, Maintenance, Manufacturing engineering,
• Engineer and Executives
• Junior to senior level Managers.

Certification Exam

• Each certification candidate is required to pass a written examination that consists of multiple-choice questions measuring comprehension of the Body of Knowledge.
• The exam will be conducted online.
• It is only offered in English.
• Learners need to appear for the final test within 12 months of purchasing the course. Course access will remain till the access period as per the applicability.

• Learners can clear their doubts arising during the study within 06 months from the date of purchasing the course.
